A man, a woman and two children, ages 12 and 10, were found dead inside the Fontana home late Monday.
A family of four — including two children — were found killed inside a Southern California home late Monday, according to a report.
Police discovered the bloodshed after a 16-year-old boy who lives in the Fontana home called 911 and reported that his family members were injured or killed, officials said.
Investigators said once they went inside the Palmetto Ave. house, they found the bodies of a 12-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, and an adult man and woman, both between 35 and 40 years old.
Neighbors told KABC-TV that the victims were a mother, a stepfather and two children who all lived in the home.
“There is some amounts of blood in different areas of the house,” Fontana police Sgt. Doug Imhof told the news station.
“There’s a couple of weapons that have been seen by our detectives just looking, but they haven’t been able to search the house because they can’t until they obtain a search warrant.”
Imhof did not disclose how the victims were killed. It was also not immediately clear what may have sparked the violence or if police had any suspects.
One neighbor told the news station that there was arguing coming from the house a few hours before the grisly scene was discovered.
